Large-scale stealth trajectory optimization based on hybrid A*-Gauss pseudospectral method

Abstract For airborne electronic countermeasures, a practical and feasible stealth trajectory with low observability significantly impacts mission success. However, for long-range large-scale optimization problems, the significant increase in state space size will affect feasibility optimality of problem solution. This paper proposes hybrid method to address above issues. First, A* (A-star) algorithm cubic B-spline curve fitting are used generate corresponding waypoints predetermined grid map under radar detection threat satisfy effect at macro level. Then, optimal control model (OCP) shortest flight time is solved between obtain segmented trajectories. Finally, state-control variable sequences further solve micro-level coupling cross section (RCS) by Gauss pseudospectral (GPM). The numerical simulation results validate proposed method.
